Apologies: none ACTIONS

  1. Minutes of Previous Meeting: The minutes of the previous meeting were

read, approved and signed by the chairman.

  1. Matters Arising: The Clerk reported that as no meeting had taken place in

May she had sent out an update on what had been happening.

  1. Clerks Report: The Clerk reported that she had made enquiries about

waste bins and said she had looked at various options. A discussion took

place and a solution was agreed and the Clerk confirmed that she would

  1. the necessary action. JD

The Clerk reported that the Chair had been in touch regarding residents

complaining about speeding in the village and the state of Green Lanes.

The Clerk had reported both matters to the council and ERYC had

reported that they hoped in the near future to fill in a number of the holes

on Green Lanes. Traffic Management had suggested that she contact the Police

regarding the speeding as this more for them, this had been done and a

response received which was forwarded to the committee.

The Police had investigated the situation and although they realised that

speeding had been a problem during the lockdown, and they had been

taking the necessary action in enforcing speed checks throughout Humber and East Riding. ERYC had said in their response that they would not install speed bumps as all this would do would be to put traffic onto minor road. JD agreed to get back to them and ask that they put in a checking system as drivers enter the village JD

  1. Accounts: JD confirmed that she had completed the VAT return and in the

Process of finalising the AGAR return which would need to sign off by the Estate

Manager. £1500 had been paid into the account from ERYC for the precept

and cheques drawn up for the Clerk, together with monies paid for grass

cutting and Farmwatch. She confirmed that she had now set up the internet banking, but this had been unsuccessful when she attempted to pay

Farmwatch as the account details did not match the name on the account. The clerk suggested to the committee that the monies paid for the grass cutting

should be increased to £150 a year as it had been £100 for a number of years.

This was agreed. It was reported that an estimate was still awaited from Andy

Southwick for replacing parts of the notice board. The Chair reported that it

had been agreed that the new notice board would have battens behind it as

the tenant of the property where the board is situated suggested that there

had been some signs of damp on his walls. The Clerk also reported that she

had received an email from the Council regarding the new Wold Way walk

asking about access to some of the walks on the Estate. She confirmed that

she had written to the Estate Office but had received no response.

  1. Any Other Business Mr. Pierson reported that he and two other members

had attended the meeting held by Robert and Victoria Fuller in March and

that it had been well attended. He reported that there were representatives

from both Humberside Police and North Yorkshire Police. Humberside

Police had now withdrawn the WhatsApp service due to lack of funding which was surprising as it had proved to be extremely successful in notifying everyone when

a crime had been committed. North Yorkshire Police continue to use this service.

A discussion took place and it was agreed that the Clerk would write to the Police

  1. regarding this matter. JD

Mr. Pierson also reported his concern at the lack of parking spaces in the small

car park on Croome Road. This was due to the number of vehicles which each

house on Croome Road now had access to. The Clerk agreed to write to the Estate on this matter as it came under their jurisdiction. Mr. Treen confirmed that Mr. Fenwick now received texts regarding any incidents from Farm Watch rather than the Estate. He also handed out a copy of My Community Alert from Humberside Police which listed a number of actions and arrests which the police had undertaken in North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire. Mr. Treen also reported that the issues

which had arisen regarding our website was a result of problems with the sever and ERYC were now in the process of dealing with this. The Clerk asked if any progress

had been made regarding the trees on the main road as it would soon be getting

towards a time when straw lorries would be going through the village and as a result the overhanging trees would catch the straw lorries resulting in

straw being caught and dropped onto the highway. Mr. Fenwick reported that this

  1. still waiting to be done. JF
