- Minutes of Previous Meeting: The minutes of the previous meeting were
read, approved and signed by the chairman.
- Matters Arising: The Clerk went through the actions which arose following
the last meeting
- Bin on Bridlington continues to be emptied
- JD contacted police re failure to turn up meeting, new dates set
- Still waiting to hear about phone box but all paperwork submitted
- Amended planning for Warren Farm Submitted. Sledmere holiday lets approved
- JD notified council numerous times regarding road works at Keepers Bottom and Croome Road all to no available
- JD contacted Craig re defib pads who gave details of suppliers
- Notice boards – two new notice boards purchased and installed.
JD wanted to thank everyone who had helped The Chair to install them
- Emergency Food boxes collected and now at the Estate Office
- Clerks Report - Matters which have arisen since last meeting in October.
- JD had received an email from the Clerk of Cowlan complaining that
lorries were getting stuck down the road by Monument Cottage as the
sat nav suggested that this was a through road. She asked JD to contact
the Council. JD emailed them and they got back and said that they would
deal with it. JD since been contacted by the Clerk at Cowlan who said that nothing had happened and asked JD to chase them. JD gave her the reference and suggested that she contact them
- ERYC had been sending numerous posters and handouts which The Chair had dealt with and JD thanked him for distributing them
- A communication was received regarding Avian Flu and again The Chair had
help contact the necessary people who had birds
- JD had attempted to contact Zoll who had taken over the company who
supplied the defib but despite numerous calls did not get back. She got
back to the original company and they agreed to supply them FOC. These
had now been installed and Craig agreed to check the machine every year
and submit the necessary documentation. The Chair agreed to
periodically check that the debib was operating JS
- JD continues to contact the Council regarding the road repairs, all
to no avail. An email had been received from Patrick and Zoe Harrison
regarding Thirkleby Wold Farm and the potholes . They said that they had
served a Section 1980 56 of the Highways Act upon the Council and wanted to know if I could assist in getting the work done. I contacted them notifying that it was not for the want of trying but had contacted the Council on numerous occasions but felt that until the roadworks were carried out on Croome Road this would not be done
- An email had been sent regarding a query raised by Councillor David Nolan regarding joint Mayors for Hull and East Riding. He maintained that there had been no consultation with the residents of both Counties. JD had checked and he appeared to have jumped the gun slightly and this was only at discussion point and no decision made and would be put out for consultation at some point
- Notification of road closure in Sledmere had been received and a notice put in the notice board with alternative routes.
- Notification of the Census had been received and again a notice been put in the notice board. This was to be done online but there were no details what to do if some residents did not have access to a computer.
- An email had been forwarded by the Estate Office regarding a light bulb which needed replacing in the School Lantern over the entrance. The Chair had checked the lighting agreement with the council and this was not included within the agreement. JD contacted the school informing them and suggested that maybe the Caretaker could replace the light bulb
- JD had reported that there had been several incidents during the frost when vehicles were unable to climb up Croome Road and the salt bin was damaged therefore when the Council recently filled them up this one was omitted. JD contacted the Council who had replaced the bin and it had now been replaced
- An email had been received from the Council regarding the traffic survey and Mr.Treen felt that the fact that a number of people were caught driving at 40-45 miles through the village was not acceptable particularly as this was happening close to the school and felt that this should be taken further. JD asked that he responds to the email forwarded to him and she would contact the Council. CT
- An email had been received from Humberside Fire Brigade regarding working with residents concerning fire prevention. They asked that their notice be put up in the notice board JD/JS
- The potholes in Croome Road was once again raised, these were all the way down from The Gables to the County boundary. JD said that she continues to the County boundary. She reported that she had been notifying the Council on a weekly basis all to no available but would continue to do so.
- Farmwatch – JD confirmed that she had received the latest report from Humberside Police which contained a section on how Farmwatch were working with the police and how successful it was proving. Mr. Treen reported that there had been a number of incidents and a discussion took place. Mr. Treen reported that for £20 an annum the service was proving invaluable and the committee agreed.
- Accounts – reported that the necessary forms had been completed regarding the Precept for the period 21/22. The Precept was due to be paid at end of April. JD confirmed that once the bank statement was received, due early April she would draw up the accounts for next year. A VAT return was due end of April which would include VAT on the Lighting Agreement and VAT on notice boards. She confirmed that £60 would be included for new defib pads as although the new ones had a life of two years once used they had to be replaced.
- Any Other Business – Mr. Pierson asked about purchasing a litter picker as he was prepared to collect some of the rubbish in Croome Wood. The Chair reported that during his walks he had been collecting rubbish. JD agreed to purchase two litter pickers JD
The Chair thanked Mr. Treen for setting up the Zoom meeting and everyone agreed that it had gone very smoothly
- Date of Next Meeting – The date of the next meeting was set at 10th May
together with the AGM following on. JD reported that there was a possibility
that the meeting might have to be held online and the necessary notices would
need to be put on the Website and in the notice boards
