ii. E.mail reply from ERYC Street Lighting Service Manager of 6.12.”records show that no work has been carried out to change the bulb in the street light opposite the Village Hall to a yellow bulb, but it may be the lamp is on its way out, I will inspect it”. Councillor Treen reported it was now satisfactory.

iii.The Chairman reported there were now 10,000 signatures to the request to keep Alfred Bean Hospital A & E open, and he and other Councillors gave examples why it was so vital to do so. A decision would be made in March.

4.Accounts  Amended ( estimated) accounts for 1.4.16 – 31.3.17 and draft accounts for 1.4.17 – 31.3.18 were  circulated and explained. E-mail from Accounts, ERYC of 12.12.read “A precept demand for 2017/8 for £1,500 has been received. This precept means the band D billing amount attributable to Sledmere & Croome Parish Council will be £18.77, which is a decrease of £34.63 (and 64.85%) compared to 2016/7. The precept will be paid to you (me!/Parish Council bank account) on 30.4.17.”

5. Agenda for Annual Parish Meeting 8 May

i) Minutes of previous meeting 9 May 2016 to be read, approved and signed

ii) Matters Arising.  Eleanor Cross

iii) Accounts 1.4.16 – 31.3.17 and draft accounts 1.4.17 – 31.3.18.

iv) Chairman’s Report

v) A.O.B.

6. Resignation of Councillor Collinson. Councillor Collinson was leaving the area on 5th March and accordingly was resigning as Parish Councillor. He and Councillor Treen had kindly agreed to hand over the running of the Parish Council Web Site between them. Councillor Collinson will download these Minutes, including Accounts referred to, and Agendas of the Annual Parish Meeting and Annual Parish Council Meeting. Councillor Treen will ring him when they receive these from the Clerk to arrange a mutually convenient time for Derek to show him how to do this, and to transfer the running of the Web Site from then on. The Clerk has a file on the Web Site from its inception if this is any help to Collin.

Derek had carried forward a credit balance of £180 out of the original grant of  £670, having settled his account  of £490 which would have covered his normal running of the Web Site to 30.4.17, but not the additional work handing over. So this £180 should be more than adequate to cover both Derek & Colin’s costs and expenses for doing this with a reduced balance for Derek to give Colin for his ongoing work. Colin will then send his accounts to the Clerk for settlement.

The Chairman thanked Councillor Treen for taking over the Web Site, and Councillor Collinson for his past service as Parish Council, including his invaluable work in setting up and running the Web Site, and in obtaining the grant to do so, and he and other Councillors wished him well for the future.

7. Clerk’s Business Clerk read police report of theft of £2,700 from the Triton, access having been obtained from the cellar. He has police reference number, should any parishioner have any information to report.
