Minutes of last MeetingThe Minutes of the Parish Council meeting 2ndJuly having been circulated approved and signed.
1. Eleanor Cross Clerk read the e-mail from Sheena Campbell on leaving War Memorial Trust that the new contact will be Peter Lloyd at grants@warmemorials.orgor Katharine Worley on 02072337356 (London office). The specification is to be amended to emphasise the importance of recording the polychrome and identifying these items numerically (rather than within embedded emails), and clarify the detailed conservation methods. This will ensure that tenders returned will be more directly comparable to ease a fair assessment of submitted tenders. He also read Stephen Greenfield’s e-mail that he would need to see all current figures before definitely committing Sir Tatton to a bridging loan, but if things remain at much the same level there will be no problem.
2. Clerk’s Business White lines at Croome Road junction had been repainted so Clerk will again e-mail Andrew Addison to remove the “No Road Markings” sign, repaint the hazard lines on the main road, and fill the remaining potholes at foot of Croome Bank which had now been marked in yellow . The Clerk will retire 30.4.2019 and the Chairman will invite Jennifer Douglas to the next meeting with a view to her taking over. If the Council are mindful to coopt Lord Swinton as a Councillor from 1.5.2019 he will give such assistance to Jennifer as she may require.
3. A.O.B. The Clerk will e-mail Stephen Greenfield requesting the trees between the Triton and Sledmere House where they overhang the road be cut back so they do not catch passing loads such as straw
