ACTIONS

1. Minutes of Previous Meeting: The minutes of the previous meeting were

read, approved and signed by the chairman.

2. Matters Arising: The Clerk went through the actions which arose following

the last meeting

ERYC maintain that the speeding did not happen near the school.

Humberside poster printed off and now in noticeboard.

Litter pickers received from ERYC and JS had distributed.

JS checked Defibulator on 27th April 2021 all in good working order.

Clerk chased ERYC re highways: see Clerk’s report.

3. Clerks Report:

The Clerk had continued to chase ERYC regarding road works at Keepers

Bottom and Croome Road all to no avail. Mr. Peirson had taken

photographs of the deep ruts on Keepers Hill which were forwarded.

to the Council, again to no avail as a letter had been received notifying us

that the only road identified as requiring work in this financial year was

Garton Hill which they were currently working on. The Notice served on

the Council by Harrisons Farms appeared to have not been successful.

4. Matters Discussed:

A discussion took place regarding speeding in the village in particular the

comment from ERYC about speeding near the school.

The Chair queried the salt bin which appeared to have been moved on

Keepers Hill Mr. Fenwick reported that the Estate staff had not moved it

however, it does appear to have disappeared.

The bin continued to be emptied regularly by Mr. Peirson who reported

that it was being used.

Mr. Southwick reported that the food parcels were now stored in the office

and that he had been asked by the Clerk to check the sell by date on them.

Mr. Robson queried the criteria for receipt of food parcels.

5. Farmwatch:

Mr. Treen reported that this continues to be successfully run.

6. Phone Box Adoption:

Still waiting to hear about phone box but all paperwork submitted by the

due date in September 2020. Head teacher has been contacted to ask if the

children would like to take part in any ideas as to what the phone box

would be used for. To date no response received.

7. Accounts:

Clerk preparing the accounts for the financial year. The Clerk has enquired

about a rise in the salary she received for the work carried out. The

Committee agreed to an additional £100 per annum subject to it not

having an effect on the precept.

8. Elections:

The elections of the officers for the Parish Council were discussed and it

was agreed that all the current members agreed to stay on in their current

roles.

9. Any Other Business:

Mr. Pierson reported that he was now in possession of one of the litter

pickers kindly provided by ERYC.

10. Date of Next Meeting:

The date of the next meeting was set at 2nd August 2021. The Parish

Council had been holding five meetings each year. However, officially it

was agreed that only four were required and the dates set were 1st

November 2021, 7th February 2022, 9th May 2022.

The Chair thanked everyone for attending and the meeting was closed. AGM to

follow on.
