MINUTES ofthe PARISH COUNCIL MEETING held on Monday 3rd

1. Apologies received from Councillors J.J.Sykes and B.J.Clark

2. The Minutes ofthe Annual Council Meeting Meeting 8th May 2017

having been circulated, were approved and signed by the Chairman.

3. Matters Arising

i. Eleanor Cross. The full grant for stage one of£5,060 having been

paid, the Clerk had paid Peter Pace's 2 accounts of £5,988 & £2,619.60,

exactly as per quotes. This resulted in £1,144.60 VAT being recoverable

May 2018, precisely as per draft accounts 1.4.17 - 31.3.18.

Clerk read latest e-mail of 28.6. from Sheena Campbell WMT explaining

current position regarding obtaining English Heritage approval re

Specification for repair works, tender, grant and work being completed.

Sheena and Peter were pursuing this with English Heritage to reach

agreement and costing, including grant. They will keep the Clerk

informed, including a Site Visit mid July onwards. The Clerk has

informed Sheena he's away July 10 - 15 so if the site meeting is then

she'll contact the Chairman.

ii. Croome Road repairs. E-mail from Alison Elvidge, ERYC, 16 May

read, and result ofRob Brown, Council Highway Surveyor ( or one ofhis

inspectors) inspection awaited. This was in reply to the Clerk's e-mail of

9.5. requesting the potholes and badly broken verges the entire length of

Croome Road require repairing, also Main Street between the Estate

Office and Gardener's Row, the pavement in Main Street and Bridlington

Road by the phone booth, and the overgrown footpath between the

Chapel and Castlegate Green.

4. Clerk's Business Clerk read e-mails with P.C. Andrew Milner giving

him dates of future meetings.

5. A.O.B Chairman took paperwork re forthcoming Village Taskforce

Walkabout when Clerk is away. The points to be raised are :-

i.. Resiting of and new dropp~d kerbs for wheelchair access to the

Church. The Clerk is giving the Chairman the uptodate correspondence re

this.

ii. Clearing of overgrown footpath at Casdegate Green as above

iii. Clearing ofblocked drains and soakaways

iv. Repair to Croome Road as above
